Prisoners of Zotz

Zotz: *To adult Goth* I do hope you're enjoying your stay. I brightened it up a bit so you won't be as frightened by the dark. *chuckles cruelly, the prison still slightly pitch black and eery shadows moving about* Once I've brought eternal night into this world, you'll be able to go free. And you...will be this world's new ruler.

Goth: *thinking to himself, slouched against an invisible wall* I'd rather be dead than be something that I never wanted to be. Oh, Nocturna, all those bats he killed. I killed. That blood is on my hands. It's been so long since I've felt the warmth of the sun. Since I've slept a proper sleep. Since I've eaten a real meal. But I'm never hungry in here. I'm never tired. But...I feel so exhausted. 

And I'm scared.

In an alternate reality...

Little Goth: *cries into his wings, curled up in an invisible corner* Please. Let me out. I don't like it in here. It's dark. It's scary.

Zotz: Awww, don't fret my little prince. You still have me in here. You're not really alone. *he chuckles cruelly, his voice only scaring the pup more*

Little Goth: Please! I want my mom! *he sobs, covering his little ears in fear, eyes shut tightly* I want to go home!

Zotz: Sadly, my dear boy, I cannot give you that request. I need you for this important task. I'll be bringing this world into an eternal night. No more sunlight. No more warmth. Only night. But don't worry. I'll let you go free. But...that won't be for a long time. But with patience, you'll be out of this scary place in no time.

*Little Goth can only cry in fear and loneliness, wishing to be away from this awful place. To be back safe in his mother's wings. To be back in the warm daylight.

But when? When would he be free?

UPDATE: I wanted to give the description a little story for the different 'realities' of the imprisoned Goth.

I thank for sparking up the idea for this piece.

Oh, man, I feel bad for drawing this. But...I just couldn't get the image out of my head!

commented on my previous submission about another interesting way this could be turned into a story. Firstly, this will let anybody know why there's now a captive newborn Goth along side his adult self. The idea he had was like this: Taking place after the events in Firewing, and now that Shade is in spirit form, decides to 'visit' Goth, wanting to find out why and how the Vampyrum became such an evil bat in the first place. Shade does this by entering his mind. Once he's inside, he discovers the little newborn Goth. The true Goth. Alone and frightened. Realizing that the entire time, the Vampyrum he had fought before was only a false face, Shade gives the little Vampyrum the comfort he needs, even picking him up into an embrace, telling him that he forgives him for his actions.

So, yeah, I was inspired to create this piece to show off the ideas combined into a single pic! The same prince, but completely different realities.

I honestly feel bad for drawing little Goth in this situation.

Also, it's my first time trying to draw a newborn bat by free-hand. So, it may look a little weird proportion wise.
